Design

Cool Shields' project engineers, using Solid Works®, can assist customers with their part design.  Project engineers can easily import/export 3D CAD models and share ideas with customers using industry standard CAD formats.

Prototyping

Cool Shield has a complete, modern tooling shop to produce machined prototypes and/or prototype tooling.  The tool room is staffed with experienced toolmakers and machinists.  Equipment includes multiple CNC workstations, wire EDM's, lathes, and ancillary equipment. 

 

Prototype parts can be machined out of solid blocks of CoolPoly®, molded from low cost mudd molds or low cost tooling.

Production Tooling & Molding

Cool Shield's tool makers and machinists can custom-build state of the art, high volume, production injection molds.

 

Cool Shield has unsurpassed experience in molding thermally conductive materials.  With state of the art automated manufacturing cells, Cool Shield can offer customers high volume production injection molding services.  With 8 presses ranging from 30-300 tons, Cool Shield's production molding capability is flexible and can accommodate a variety of parts.  Each cell is fully automated and is capable of insert molding, in-line part inspection, and packaging.
